Jordi Machi.ENGLISH VERSION:
For some time looking for the time to talk about this extraordinary and groundbreaking artist, considered the heir of a new vision of POP-art after Warhol and Koons. This artist's actual inspiration for many other artists and arguably the most famous contemporary artist in Japan, Takashi Murakami, has managed to merge the merchandising and art as a new concept, its manga-inspired works of clear triumph worldwide and sells his successful work for exorbitant prices. Personally, and as a great lover of manga and anime that I am, since I saw his work on television a couple of years was on of his style and influence otaku ago.
Murakami's work is extremely colorful and mega-sociable, is vibrant, it's brilliant .. is "Superflat". What is "Superflat"? It's the new art style invented by Murakami influence of manga and anime, which uses these two branches of Japanese culture to make a criticism of the current consumer society.
Murakami is a genius to me because behind those smiling colorful flowers made, and those characters of his imagination that are seemingly happy and optimistic, very great behind those eyes and colors, hides a harsh criticism towards the eccentric and surface behavior society, in this case the Japanese.
Murakami tells us in his works that this society is sick, all those colors are not real appearances. And ironically this society are calling for the sick who follow him with more fervor and that a significant part of the depth of his work, this is extremely attractive and more so if you like the manga.
